Somalia’s National Development Plan 2020-2024 aims to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs to thrive. The Foreign Investment Law of 2015 offers favorable incentives to foreign investors, including tax advantages and protections against expropriation.
SomRIL, part of the Global Response Innovation Lab partnership, collaborates with organizations like World Vision and Oxfam to implement innovative solutions for development and resilience.
With abundant renewable energy potential, dynamic tech events, growing private investment, supportive public sector incentives, and initiatives like SomRIL, Mogadishu’s startup ecosystem is poised to grow, attract entrepreneurs and investors, and drive economic development in the region.
