Top 10 Corporations Leading Globally in Startup Activity

Below are the Top 10 corporations featured in this first-ever index. They are ranked based on their total score, which reflects their involvement with startups, the success of those startups, and their engagement with the broader ecosystem. The full report also includes comprehensive global, industry, and country-level rankings of over 350 corporations.

About the Corporate Startup Activity Index

In this report, you can expect to see how corporations are ranked for their startup activity globally, and across 30 countries, 11 main industries, and 10 selected sub-industries (i.e., specialized segments within the main industry).

The final rankings are determined by a total score made up of three key parts: Corporate Involvement, Startup Success, and Ecosystem Integration.

  1. Corporate Involvement Score measures how actively a corporation supports startups through dedicated programs, investments, and acquisitions.
  2. Startup Success Score evaluates the performance and growth of startups that have engaged with the corporation, assessing factors including funding, traction, and exits.
  3. Ecosystem Integration Score assesses how deeply a corporation is connected with the broader startup ecosystem through partnerships, alumni collaborations, and events.

The details of how these scores are calculated and the ranking criteria can be found in the Methodology section inside the report.

This Index is enriched by the StartupBlink Global Startup Ecosystem Map, which has been tracking and mapping startup activity worldwide of hundreds of thousands of startup ecosystem stakeholders. To improve accuracy and depth, we have partnered with Crunchbase and Semrush, two of the world’s leading data providers, along with a network of corporate data partners contributing proprietary insights into their startup-related activities.
